Getting crapped on by a bird in Central Park proved true. Good luck graced our entire NYC stay: no injuries, no lost kids, harmony all around.
Grand Central's grand hall greeted us Sunday morning as the passageway to Liberty. After my kids' inaugural subway ride {Emerson was initially leery, loved the people watching}, we were in line for the Ferry. It was the perfect day to visit and as expected, Emerson tuned into the audio tour while Baby Bear chased birds. #didn'tgetcrappedonhere The rest of our day was unplanned, so we strolled through the Financial District, enjoyed a soft pretzel lunch among street performers, and eventually got to Meet the Breeds.
It was on our way there that we found ourselves trapped in a motorcycle circus. 500 bikes zipping through bumper-to-bumper traffic, in between lanes was something to behold. Little did I know a poor family would suffer at the hands of their extreme behavior.

I'll never tire of this city. I love exposing my kids to the hustle and bustle, the design and architecture, the languages and sounds. While in the subway, Emerson was most intrigued by a homeless man whom was the essence of Quasi Motto. She wondered aloud about his stature and appearance and it was a great time to remind her that people come in all shapes and sizes and how lucky she is to enjoy shelter and food. It's not so every where in life.
