Mini Golf went surprisingly well.

Billy Webb caught air on the wave runner. And lost his sunglasses.

We saw dolphins. 

Collecting rocks and shells never gets old.

Little Girl isn't the only one joining a new class next week.

You, my love, are headed to Pre-K. 

At this tender age, change doesn't suit you.  You like your routine. 

But then... 

In the last two days, you've embraced the idea.  Even voiced excitement at the thought.

Bravery is taking hold.

summer send off

I'm sending summer off in a blaze of glory.  Sleepovers, late nights, playdates, junkfood, and sightseeing. 

Miss Pippy starts 2nd grade next week {!} and I want her last few summer days to be the best.  To that end, our house has seen extra kids running around and tonight we'll be dripping in Rita's Water Ice.  What's in store tomorrow?  Sticky fingers and faces at Yum Yum's Decorate Your Donut ~ mmmm, donuts ~  and Friday we're sneaking in a daytrip to the beach.  Saturday and Sunday I hope to finish my most recent labor of love: slate walkway (#landscaperhands, #icanbarelywalk) and Monday we're headed to the Aquarium.

In other news, they installed credit card swipe vending machines at my office.  I predict going up a pant size in the very near future.  #ricekrispietreats

Knoebels Camping

At home, I had prefaced this trip with the comment, "next year, no camping".

By the time Knoebels rolled around I was exhausted by all the various camping packing and unpacking and activities and running around.  Camping is great fun, for sure, but it also involves a pinch more work then, say, checking into a hotel and lazing by their pool... :)   But, my kids have a great time and Billy Webb loves camping and I love the outdoors, sooo Knoebels Camping 2014!!

It was a blast.

Can you believe it's mid-August?!? 

I blame summer's warped-speed on all the outings and activities we've checked-off.  We've been so busy, in fact, that over the weekend baby girl remarked, "I can't wait to spend a few days at home".  :) 

Today kicks-off theater camp, her first!  And, a few weeks ago we started gymnastics.
