While we spent a good portion of the weekend flopping around the house {you should see my pile of tearsheets!}, we also managed to enjoy the outdoors. Saturday night we made the quick drive to Peddler's Village in New Hope, PA. It's a family-friendly destination full of shops, restaurants, music, and even a kids' playzone. This weekend was their annual Apple Festival where Emerson enjoyed her first cup of hot apple cider, we picked up some Thanksgiving Dinner napkins and everyone had a ball.
And from here, we headed home for a bath and a movie.
...and that's how we roll.

It's like I have this little sight-seeing angel who sits on my shoulder. I'm not sure how it happens, but every time I have an all-day, out-and-about kind of day, it ends up flawless. Better than the last. Even with a few no shows {party of 3!}, Saturday was one of those days. The outdoors, the arts, the food, the company ~ just as good as it gets.
This day in the life post is all about fun in Philadelphia. It's a bit abbreviated, as I saved a few pics for a separate post and you won't see any nighttime photos. After we kissed the city goodbye and arrived home around 6:00, I was too tired and full to do anything but give the munchkins a bath and collapse on the sofa. What you will see are pictures from a day that I will forever love. I made two comments that have stuck with me {1} "I love having a girl" and {2} "Miss Pippy, isn't this fun?!? These are the days that become memories and one day you'll hear me say, remember when.... ".
*photo by Emerson Webb. ...mmmmm, Champagne.
And from here, we waddled out to the car.
...all those beverages, all that yummy food. We're regulars at tea, if you've never experienced it, you're missing out! See our spring outing here. Thanks, Mom!
It feels good to get out.
Love the place you live.

{ Miss Pippy after some read-a-longs }
What a day. From sun up to sun down, this day was about play. Puppets, parks, pools, presents {one for me, one for Billy Webb} ~ we did it all.
While I got to sleep in {8:00 wake-up, yeah sleepy babies!}, Billy Webb hit the trails early. It was a hot one! With blazing 100 degree sticky heat outside it finally felt like summer. I actually liked the hot 'n' hazy heat wave. Though, I will say I was EXHAUSTED last night! This forty-year-old body can barely keep up with these rascally rabbits. Thankfully, my backyard now has the perfect jump starter ~ a pool! Billy Webb put up our high brow inflatable pool last week and my Miss Pippy loves it {and, of course, Baby Bear loves anything his sister does}.
Here's a peek at our day.
From here, it was indoors for ice cream sandwiches and tooneys {at 9:00!}. Isn't summer the best?!?
Then off to bed we went!
What a day.

{...what I found after a quick trip upstairs. that's permanent marker, folks}
With so much going on over the holidays and secret party planning in January, my presence here has been minimal at best {too many balls in the air, know what I mean??} And because of that, blog posts have stacked up and photos have remained unseen. Until now. I thought I would kick-off my return to regular blogging with a quick peak at some of the fun we've had lately. Starting with Little Girl. Who, is officially a big girl and picks out her outfits and gets dressed all by herself each morning. Big kid stuff.
PreSchool Winter Gala - here Emerson and friends perform to Justin Bieber's Baby, Baby. At home she and Daddy love rockin' out to Luda. ...you know you love me, you know you care...
Big Kid Hair - Emerson NEVER lets me 'do' her hair. Recently, she wore her 1st ponytail!!! Of course, she took it out as soon as we got to school but it looked great in the car ride! A hair victory, for sure!
The Franklin Institute - We visited a recent Dinosaur exhibit with Mimi. It was our first trip to this local gem and we loved it. Thanks, Mimi!
{look! a shot that includes me!}
Chopsticks - In keeping with our love for Dinosaurs, I recently purchased a pair of kid-friendly Dinosaur chopsticks. They're lots of fun!
And lastly, Jumping & Bouncing - nary a day passes without Emerson launching from the sofa, bouncing on her bed or jumping from room-to-room. This little girl has loved bouncing around since Day 1. Our newest bouncy fan? Baby Max. Monkey see, Monkey do.
So there you have it. A quick peak at what we've been up to, along with a few more I'll highlight in coming days.
Tomorrow, Baby Bear highlights.
{Tell me, how did you spend January?}
