Don't you love local? Farmer's markets, mom & pop shops, exploring the hood ~ I wish I had more free time to get out and enjoy all that's offered these days. It's refreshing to step outside the walls of big box shops and support Main St. I've often considered opening my own lifestyle shop featuring a mix of crafty artisans, homegoods, apparel, and delicacies. I don't know if I'll ever take the leap and make it happen, but it's fun to dream about the possibility!
One Saturday morning, Bubbles and I took a bike ride into town and strolled through the Farmer's Market, splashed in a Kugel ball and enjoyed the treats of Tabora Farm & Orchard. A long-standing, family-owned business that offers handmade and home grown. They recently opened a new store in my area and have just about anything you could want. Including super fresh fishies. Yellow ones, at that.
Our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches have never tasted so good!
p.s. With the holidays fast approaching, they're online storefront of gift baskets and wine is worth a look.
