I love this cookbook! This is my 4th week and 4th yummy dish. Part of the appeal of La Tartine Gourmande is that it's gorgeous. Author Beatrice Peltre also styled and photographed each recipe. Not only can she dole out amazing food, but she's a creative genius as well. But, back to the food. These crustless mini quiches with marinated cucumbers are light and fresh and fulfilling all at once. Included in the dish is a delightful mix of cumin, parmesan, dill, and mint. Again, I'm struck by the notion of how easily adaptable the recipe is. You can add or nix any number of ingredients such as ham, cheese, herbs and more. Next time I'll up the cumin and also top them off with a sprinkle of cheese to brown under the broiler. I will most definitely serve this again.
Taste Testers:
Emerson, 4 1/2 ~ while she likes scrambled eggs sometimes, she wasn't interested in the quiche. But being the veggie queen she is, she tried the marinated cucumber. She likes plain better.
Max, 2 1/2 ~ "I don't like that". Never touched his lips.
{What are you cooking up this week?}

I'm available for weekly tastings.
