Little girl you are so full of life and laughter and are sweet. as. pie. We just spent 10 whole days together with no pesky interruptions like school and work. 10 days of play. My cup runneth over with love. Aside from beach time, I think your favorite thing about vacation was Jack the dog. Like clockwork, every morning at rise you asked "can I go see Jack" and if ever I wondered "where is Emerson?" the answer was always "with Jack". At our house this summer you totally blossomed in the pool. You love to swim and float and play. Your latest activity inside is organizing and straightening up. At the end of quiet time you put everything away and make your bed, without my even mentioning it. Maybe you can show Daddy a few techniques. Last night you ran around the house launching off furniture, flapping your little arms, pretending to be a bird. It had nothing to do with your snack ~ a cupcake lathered with neon blue icing {note to self: no cupcakes after 7:00}. Your favorite activity is snacking, along with playing outside. I can't say one indoor activity in particular is your favorite, but this summer we've enjoyed play-doh, animal play, dressing up, drawing pictures and watching movies. You've lost interest in your Leapfrog game, but pick it up from time to time. Things I still can't get enough of ~ your little voice, squeezing you tight, hearing you sing little songs, seeing your imagination and listening to you pronounce words that I say "are hard". You're sooo good with Maxi Bear and he adores you, just like Daddy and I.
I can't believe next week is kindergarden and next month is five. I love you to bits little girl!
