Like me, my daughter loves to eat.
Along with her awesome appetite comes her love of snacks. "Can I have a snack?" can be heard in my house almost every night. Unfortunately for her, I have the most pathetic pantry in town. Due to the fact that I can eat a bag of Doritos, a sleeve of Nutter Butters and a box of donuts in one sitting, I don't keep snacks around. Sometimes I feel a pang of guilt, because while we practice healthy eating most of the time, I do think every childhood should include cheetos and twinkies. Too bad for her her mom is a glutton. So, when we do snack it usually includes bananas, almonds, raisins, grapes or goldfish. Naturally, steamy summer nights bring the occasional bowl of ice cream or push pop. And every once in awhile I'll bring home a mini bag of BBQ chips, her favorite. But all in all, it's boring snacks.
Well, I think it's due time for a junk food weekend. Tonight I'm going to hit my local store and stock up on a booty of junk. Friday, Saturday and Sunday little girl and baby bear can chow down on whatever they choose, unless of course, I eat it first. :)
{Tell me, what do you snack on at home?}
