Summer's in full swing at our house. Here's a bit of the action.
- At her request, Emerson and I baked a berry pie to celebrate the 4th of July. She didn't like it.
- Our recent beach weekend included a date night for Billy Webb and I! Friends joined the 40's club and threw a party aboard an evening cruise. It was a blast and the sunset was AMAZING! But, the best part of the night had to be when it ended. Because we were so exhausted from 2 days of running back and forth to the beach, loading crap, and chasing kids ~ all while melting in 100 degree temps ~ we were home and in bed before Emerson was even asleep! Ha!! We're quite the partiers! Though, in our defense, part of the reason we petered out so early was due to an evil stomach bug kicking our ass. Not fun.
- Max's legs are covered in knicks, bumps, bruises, scrapes and ouchies. I fear this is only a precursor of things to come with my dare devil son. I'm stocking up on band-aids, helmets, knee pads, ice packs, ace bandages.....
- I need new shoes. I'm not a shoe girl, but my measley selection now bothers me. Wedges and spectators come first. Let the shoe shopping begin.
- Billy Webb got a new car! Yep, after months of bemoaning his faulty Passat {burning oil....}, he finally pulled the trigger. Welcome to the family, Outback.
- I've been bit by the movie bug. I've always loved film, but over the last 3 years my movie watching hobby has dwindled to none. So sad. Well, not anymore! Just this week I've watched Extremely Loud..., Sherlock Holmes, The Iron Lady, The Descendants and been to the theater to see Madagascar 3 {awesome!} and Brave {not good}. It feels good. Next I want to see Wes Anderson's film. I hope I haven't missed it in theaters.
- Tonight I start chipping away at a whole house purge. It's not the first time I've cleared some rooms, but crap just manages to creep up again and again. As Baby Bear grows I can grab a few more baby/toddler goods to donate. Goodbye feeding chair! So long pack 'n' play! Nice knowin' ya toddler toys! After the purge, I'm breaking out a paint brush and touching up some walls. Boy, can they use it!
{Tell me, what's keeping you busy?}
