I can't tell you how much fun we had on our recent L.A trip. I've had the good fortune of visiting a few times, but this time was most definitely my favorite. It had everything to do with company, food and lodging. Today, let's talk lodging: The Viceroy {pronounced vice-roy, long i }, located in Santa Monica. Designer Kelly Wearstler knocked it out of the park with her amazing decor {don't let the humble streetfront fool you!}. From the vibrant yet cozy library to amazing wallpaper and colors throughout, I loved every square inch.
My blearly-eyed morning started at 4:30 a.m. for an early flight to sunny L.A. We each traveled separately with loose {very loooooose} plans for meeting. Don't you know, we converged on the hotel nearly simultaneously. It was our first predictor of all good things to come. But the cherry on the top to our arrival, was the lush, beautiful welcome bouquet sent from a 4th companion who was missed.
What could be the best part of the hotel, is James. Their AMAZING concierge. He graciously catered to our every whim {and let me tell you, we had a lot!}. Lesa and I were so busy putting finishing touches on our party, that we literally planned nothing for this trip. James was a dream. He got us reservations at the best restaurants, secured last minute tickets to the Lakers play-off game, and had more than one tip on what to see and do. He's the best! Thank you, James.
Tomorrow, age old friends go, see, and do!
