Surprisingly, Billy Webb and I added shopping to our April date. Most surprising, at his request. Though, this shopping spree was for business, not pleasure. Tough Mudder business, that is. {see Tough Guy post}
About our date. April's date found us close to home with a gift close to my heart. Film. I'm embarassed to say I haven't seen a non-cartoon film in at least a year, probably longer. It felt good to be back in the saddle. Billy's pick was The Raven, which I knew nothing about. I really liked it! There's just something about horses galloping and people running that gets me every time. I'm on the fence with John Cusack's performance, whom I normally like, but I loved the cast of relative no-names. Don't you get tired of seeing the same old A-listers?
The literary focus {Poe}, dark suspense {cloaks and daggers} and fresh faces had me hooked. Check it out if you're in the mood for a movie, especially if you want to be spooked. Watch the creepy trailer here -
